In the first half Hampstead and Westminster 3s started strongly controlling possession and dominating early phases of play. However, Milton Keynes Ladies 1s managed to maintain the stalemate and had a couple of decent chances to go ahead, however, they were unable to capitalise. H&W, however, did manage to execute one of their PCs and held this slender lead into halftime.
Throughout the second half MK managed to transfer from defence to attack quickly and challenged H&W on the break, which resulted in a penalty corner and conversion by Charlie Coumbe drawing the game level at 1-1.
MK’s second goal again resulted from a PC which saw Vikki Yates finish on her reverse from a Laura Browne assist.
MK tried to maintain possession, however, were hit on the break by H&W late in the game which saw them execute a good PC and bring the game back to all square at 2-2.
With limited time left on the clock MK rallied to try and win the game, but it wasn’t to be and had to leave sunny London with only a point. A great effort by all, with Laura Browne as POM
